Loyalty program V1 is our first stab at rewarding shoppers for loyalty by allowing them to earn cash-back on purchases in the form of account credit!
To use this feature, simply go to your Setup tab and enable this feature!
The calculations for the loyalty program are determined by the subtotal less any discounts/coupons X the loyalty program percentage. They do not earn rewards on an amount where account credit is used to pay.
- For a purchase of $200 (not counting taxes or shipping) and a loyalty award of 1%, a user would earn $2 in account loyalty credit.
- If a purchase of $50 less a $20 coupon (not counting taxes or shipping) and a loyalty award of 1%, a user would earn $0.30 in account loyalty credit.
- If a purchase of $50 less a $20 coupon (not counting taxes or shipping) and a loyalty award of 1%, but the customer used $10 in account credit, the customer would earn $0.20 in account loyalty credit. (50 -20 coupon - $10 credit = $20)
Customers do earn loyalty credit on the purchase of gift cards, but they do not earn credit when gift cards are used.
Customers do earn loyalty credit on secondary offers.
Customers earn rewards on waitlist authorized orders and comment charge orders.
You can see Loyalty Program Rewards in the Balance Movement for the customer.
After every purchase, your customer will receive a “Loyalty Reward Earned! 🎉” email. Below is an example of the email. There is currently no shop controlled template for these.
If the customer clicks on the View My Account Page link, she will be taken to her account page and will see the amount added to her Account Credit.
When processing a return for an item that your shopper earned loyalty on, we retract the loyalty when processing the return!
When you process a return for an item with loyalty earned and refund back to a payment source, we display the amount to refund for the item as normal, but also include the amount earned for loyalty to retract from their account credit!
When returning one of these items as account credit, you won’t need to retract the loyalty credit. Shoppers earn loyalty credit for new payments and do not earn loyalty for spending account credit. Returning to account credit will allow them to purchase alternate items, which they won’t earn additional loyalty credit for, which they did with their original payment.
The Loyalty Retracted will show on the order:
The Loyalty Retraction will be shown as “Loyalty credit retraction” in the Customer’s Balance Movement:
Note: When returning the portions of a split order, you will still have to make the manual corrections.
